What the hell is Amoelbarroco?

Amoelbarroco is not really a person, is a concept that changed itself across time and situations, always related with creative work. Today is a fashion label run by Brummella Brumaria/amoelbarroco/Viveka G. (yeah, this is just one person) herself, so, we can say, Amoelbarroco found its final incarnation under her skin (although its her invention...ironic!).

This is not a fashion label, this is an exercise of imagination, a consecutive reproduction of a personal cosmogony

She studied Fine Arts and Fashion Design. Always seeking the way to give expression to all her ideas in the material world, finally the solution came from the exercise of designing clothing; in that subject she can make the mixture of everything she loves under an experimental and conceptual motto. The basic concept that define all that garments is 'quite simple': an elegant and modern combination of forms of art, history and urban fashion, always paying attention to the final styling and accessories, taking aesthetics as a way of life, a way to show fundamental ideas, a way of define herself or turn her life into a piece of art and beauty. This is the aspiration.

Viveka is always collaborating in her work with other image artists and also sometimes as reference, inspiration or model for others, most of the times in photography or illustration.

From the whole history, some periods seduce her completely for several reasons such as baroque, rococo, regency and victorian eras or early XXth century.

All these garments and accessories are handmade and unique, paying attention to each detail, from the investigation work at first, fabrics selection or final tailoring/dressmaking in several Spanish workshops.
